Our Recommendation for Reactive Dogs

As with most beaches, you can expect there to be dogs running along the beaches off-leash. For that reason, it's hard to predict what the other dogs are going to do although we found it spread out enough that we could avoid each other. There's a short bridge over train tracks that you need to cross, but that overpass was wide enough. Aside from that, you'll have to chance encountering other off-leash dogs as you would with any beach.

It's worth mentioning that the beach was fairly crowded since we went over a weekend. Dogs aside, there were a lot of picnickers, beachcombers, people lying in the sun and others doing water activities. It was busy, so if your dog is triggered by groups of people, we wouldn't recommend going over the weekend.

What we liked about the park

  • We always enjoy walks along the water.

What we didn't like about the park

  • Parking wasn't great.

  • It was a bit crowded for our liking.
