Hello!

Welcome to adventures with Markus, a solo explorer of the Pacific Northwest. Being a reactive dog means that he doesn’t warm up to other dogs quickly and he doesn’t do well at dog parks. Instead, we take him to the great outdoors to scratch his exploring itch!

Our mission is to share our experience on the trails, parks or hotels that we visit so that reactive dog owners may be encouraged to explore with their dogs. We know it can be stressful, so our goal is to lessen that stress one park at a time.
