If you're in search of a peaceful trail with a view, look no further than Creyke Point. This hidden gem offers a quiet and short hike that rewards you with breathtaking views at the end. On the way in, we even stopped by at Sea Chest, which was a cute little stall that served fantastic homemade ice cream sandwiches. They were perfect on a sunny day!

There's a large parking lot by Aylard Farm. The parking lot was surprisingly busy although most of the traffic didn't seem to be going to Creyke Point. As we began our journey along the Creyke Point Trail, we were immediately captivated by its ambiance. The trail meanders through trees and lush foliage, providing a refreshing escape. Along the way, we noticed paths leading towards the beach, enticing us with the promise of sandy shores and tranquil waters. However, we hesitated to explore the beach due to there being off-leash dogs running up and down. While this may appeal to some, we opted to continue our hike along the well-marked trail.

The path was relatively easy, offering a pleasant stroll through nature's wonders. However, it's important to note that the trail becomes more challenging towards the end as you reach Creyke Point. As we approached the final stretch, we encountered rocky areas that required some climbing to reach the top. While the ascent may pose a moderate challenge for both humans and dogs, the reward awaiting at the summit makes it well worth the effort.

Upon reaching the top of Creyke Point, we were greeted with sweeping panoramic views that took our breath away. The vantage point offered a mesmerizing vista of the surrounding landscape, showcasing the beauty of the coastal scenery and the vast expanse of the ocean. It was a perfect spot to pause, soak in the tranquility and capture memorable photographs.

While the Creyke Point Trail may not be the most accessible trail for everyone, its quiet ambiance and scenic rewards make it a hidden treasure worth exploring. Whether you choose to navigate the entire path or simply enjoy a portion of it, the journey through nature's embrace will surely leave a lasting impression. Just remember to tread carefully during the rocky sections and be aware of off-leash dogs if you decide to venture towards the beach.

Our Recommendation for Reactive Dogs

It's easy to recommend the Creyke Point Trail because it was a relatively quiet stroll. As mentioned, there were other dogs, but they were mostly on the beach and we didn't come across any on the trail. The climb up Creyke Point is steep, but wasn't too difficult. It's worth going and assessing if you think it's worth doing with your dog. Keep in mind that if your dog is sure-footed, it's possible that they're pulling you forward on the way down, so be very careful.
